“Ek kadam swacchhta ki ore” Swachh Bharat
Abhiyan , the vision of Mahatma Gandhi ji who longed to see a clean India where
people would work in harmony, holding each other’s hand to make ‘Bharat’ clean.
The prime minister of India Mr.Narendra Modi promoted this vision of Gandhi ji
through the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign.
To join hands with Mr.Modi in creating a cleaner and more beautiful India we in KlETU SMSR have initiated a campaign “Swacch SMSR”, where in cleanliness drive without boundaries starts within the classrooms; spreads to the entire MBA department and then the whole college. On 30th September 2015 we spent 2 hours in cleaning our department. Students and the faculty were divided into groups and were assigned the areas to be cleaned such as 1st yr and 2nd yr classrooms, library, computer lab, seminar hall, sports room, staff room and office. The department provided cleaning equipments to us.
All of us dedicated ourselves completely towards cleaning areas assigned to us by dividing the responsibilities amongst our teammates. It was also an excellent team building activity and every member put in equal efforts to make our department clean. After successfully completing the task, the event ended on a good note, the faculty and the Disha committee members appreciated everyone for their efforts, it was a proud moment for all of us. Everyone had snacks and tea provided by the department and dispersed.
This campaign does not stop here; we will keep on doing the good work, so that the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan mission can be marked as an accomplishment by the 150th birth anniversary of Bapu. After all, cleaning up the country cannot be the sole responsibility of sweepers. We citizens also have a bigger role to play.
